The short answer

Use one base for a first week, alternate beach days with a southern outing and a separate nature day, and keep one day unbooked. The route below is a suggested rhythm, not a requirement to visit every landmark.

Days one and two: settle in and choose your beach

On arrival, organise the transfer, groceries if needed and the next morning's breakfast. Avoid making the first evening depend on a distant reservation. On your first full day, explore the beach near your accommodation and understand the setup: shade, chairs, food, toilets and the route back.

Palm Beach and Eagle Beach make different starting points for a hotel search, but the precise property matters more than the label. Walk the route you expect to use regularly. A comfortable daily routine allows the rest of the week to stay flexible instead of turning every outing into a transport project.

Day three: San Nicolas and the south

Make San Nicolas the focus of the morning, with a mural walk or a guided art visit. Continue towards Baby Beach if the group wants an afternoon by the water and conditions are appropriate. Keep lunch part of the outing rather than treating it as something to squeeze between stops.

With young children, shorten the town walk and protect the return time. With an art-focused group, consider spending longer in town and making the beach a brief stop. Do not add Arikok to this day simply because both appear away from the main hotel strip.

Day four: a deliberately open beach day

Return to the beach you enjoyed or investigate another suitable area nearby. This is also a possible day for a prebooked sailing or guided snorkelling outing. Compare the actual activity with the group's interests: a long cruise with drinks is different from a short session focused on the water.

If an earlier outing moved because of weather or availability, use this space. If nothing moved, enjoy a day without a checklist. The flexibility is part of the itinerary rather than an empty slot waiting to be filled.

Day five: Arikok, with the right route

Choose the national-park experience you want before deciding how to travel. A ranger-led nature walk, an accessible scenic outing and a trip involving rough tracks have different requirements. Consult Aruba Conservation Foundation and the operator for the route, vehicle suitability and conditions.

Do not assume a standard rental contract permits every road shown on a navigation app. If Conchi, the Natural Pool, is the priority, establish the transport and access arrangements specifically. A park visit can still be worthwhile without swimming or reaching that one landmark. Leave the evening relatively easy after a demanding outdoor day.

Day six: your personal priority

Choose between a north-west beach outing, time in Oranjestad, another underwater activity or a confirmed Renaissance Island visit. Let the group's main interest decide. If the flamingo visit is essential, arrange its access first and place it on the date actually available; exchange it with another flexible day in this plan.

Avoid booking three alternatives for the same day just to keep options open. Choose one main experience, with a simple nearby fallback. This keeps both the cost and the schedule understandable.

Day seven: departure without a final rush

Work backwards from the airline's current airport advice, then add transport, car return and luggage collection. A short local breakfast or walk may fit; a cross-island excursion usually adds unnecessary uncertainty. Keep documents and essential items accessible rather than buried in the final packed suitcase.

Adapt the week without a car

Choose a base near the beach and meals you will use repeatedly. Compare buses and taxis for straightforward journeys, then organise the southern and park outings with suitable transport. You may only need a rental for selected days. Price the whole plan before committing, including any evening returns and child-seat requirements.
